Funny Experience while Flying from Bangalore to Goa

Sometimes, you have those terrifying experiences, and look back to find how funny it really was.

Well, I had a funny experience while flying from Bangalore to Goa. I had occasion to travel to Bangalore and back, and my agent booked me my tickets. On my way back from Bangalore to Goa, I boarded the flight and I did not bother to read the itinerary. As I was so engrossed in reading my book which I always carry with, the time was up for a halt. I took my hand luggage and bid good-bye to a friend who I made in the air-craft and got off the flight, smiling and cheerful that I have reached Goa safely and quickly.

Can you believe what I noticed when I was already out of the air-craft and heading to the terminal???? It is a shame!!!!! Guess what the flight had halted at Mumbai and I had got off at Mumbai when I was supposed to get-off in Goa!!!!!! The thing was that I had not checked the itinerary as I thought that it was not necessary at that time……….but after what shame I underwent, now I always check and recheck my itinerary and my ticket timings too.

The flight was from Bangalore to Mumbai to Goa……………and I was not aware that the journey to Goa was supposed to take a halt in Mumbai. And it was the funniest thing that had happened to me in my entire life, as I felt like a fool entering the aircraft back again. What luck I noticed the airport and imagine walking by and the flight had to take off…….that would have been a little too much for me, more because my husband was waiting at Goa airport for me.

Can you imagine my plight when I got in the air-craft again, and my friend asked me as to what happened??? I was feeling so funny that I was deciding whether I should tell her the truth or no, but anyways, she would have know what a mess I had got into in. So, when I related to her what happened she had a hearty laugh and said that it was the funniest experience she had ever heard of.

From now onwards I am very careful and I also related my funny experience to others as I don't wish others also to face such embarrassment.

Once I landed home safely, I was the butt of the joke for one whole month and even now whenever any funny incidents are mentioned, mine experience tops the funniest experience.
